3rd UNCLE announces Milagro

3rd UNCLE is very pleased to have designed Milagro, Restaurante Mexicano Y Cantina at 5 Mercer Street in the heart of Toronto.s theatre district.

Mexican brothers and owner operators Arturo and Andres Anhalt engaged 3rd Uncle to bring a playful and fresh perspective to their vision of an authentic Mexican cantina.

3rd UNCLE anchors the space with a dark wood bar central to the cantina concept. A cevice bar sits in front of an active open kitchen. Inspired by the lightness of a tropical dress, contrasting the weight of the traditional wood bar is a luminescent palm green accent of paint and translucent vinyl. Defined by long planters arranged with over 240 huge mocha pods the main dining room highlighted dramatically with vaulted ceilings. The perimeter of the space is furnished with patio chairs evoking an outdoor street café A long photographic mural of Mexican night life reinforces the duality of the space while visually connecting the varied dining rooms. Milagros and Dolls by Mexican artisans will further animate the clean lines of the space.
